WAAY 31 Kid Cam visits Riverton Elementary School | News [Video]

WAAY 31 Morning Meteorologist Grace Anello took the kid cam over to Riverton Elementary School earlier this week and made about 70 new friends in kindergarten and first grade.

They chose to read our Franklin book, so we talked all about being prepared for severe weather and storms rather than being scared of them. After a class vote, almost everyone told me they now think they are going to feel less frightened next time storms come.

They listened so well, and were so engaged. I was really impressed. They also asked about tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods. We spent a long time developing severe weather safety plans but even more time laughing, giggling, and high-5-ing!
