Warmongers Not Welcome: Pro-Palestine Protestors Disrupt Nancy Pelosi Speech At Oxford Union [Video]

Police were called Wednesday to remove pro-Palestine protesters from Oxford Union after former U.S. Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s address was disrupted by demonstrators outside chanting as those inside raised the Palestinian flag.

The protest happened as Pelosi was delivering the Benazir Bhutto memorial lecture when two students from the activist group Youth Demand unfurled a Palestinian flag.

Demonstrators were escorted out of the building by Thames Valley Police as attendees to Pelosi’s lecture inside applauded.

Outside, however, around 250 students continued to voice their disapproval of the Democrat’s presence.

Youth Demand took to social media to condemn Pelosi, branding her a “genocide-backing warmonger” unwelcome on university grounds: “When children are being murdered, and hospitals are being bombed, we will not sit down and be quiet whilst these people are given platforms. We must stand up and take action, because we aren’t fucking around anymore.”
