MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — After winning a silver medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team, West Virginia University athlete Mary Tucker is definitely looking for gold in Paris 2024.

Tucker is a fifth-year senior on WVU’s Rifle Team and has already earned her place on Team USA for the 2024 Olympics in France this summer.

In an interview with WBOY’s parent company, Nexstar, Tucker said she keeps a photo of the gold medal for the upcoming Olympics on her phone as motivation.

“When they unveiled it and I saw like how shiny it was, I was like ‘Oo yes, I want that. It’s so sparkly.’ So yeah, definitely going for that one,” Tucker said in the interview.
