Whatley Health Services in Tuscaloosa now has a pharmacy [Video]

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Whatley Health Services in Tuscaloosa just expanded. This after the medical community and city leaders cut the ribbon on their new pharmacy Friday.

It took about a year and a half for it to happen, plus $500,000 from various grants.

Whatley started in 1977 and now has 10 locations in 7 counties in west Alabama.

“I think our pharmacy is special because it is here and serving people here in the west area of Tuscaloosa. We are so proud to be able to offer these services, not only to our patients who come here, but also to our staff, employees and those in the community we serve,” said Dr. Lowther, Chief Medical Officer for Whatley Health Services.

“Last year, Whatley served nearly 20,000 patients that walked through our doors here and our satellite sites throughout west Alabama,” said Whatley Health Services CEO David Gay.
