The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin opined that former President Donald Trump attending the funeral of a New York detective was “good imagery,” but Whoopi Goldberg let her know that not everyone felt that way, citing Trump’s record on caring about police.
For context, Farah Griffin was actually talking about how Trump could lose the 2024 election, saying that his lack of impulse control would turn off undecided moderates and independent voters. In citing Trump’s attendance at the Long Island funeral of fallen NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, Farah Griffin said while that was “good imagery” for Trump, he followed it up by sharing an “offensive, dangerous” image of President Joe Biden.
In the middle of making her point, however, Goldberg disagreed with her perspective:
