Woman killed in car crash on River Road in Willington [Video]

WILLINGTON, CT (WFSB) – State police are investigating a fatal car crash that left a woman dead and multiple passengers injured on River Road in Willington on Saturday night.

Troop C responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash at 10:12 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, the car lost control for unknown reasons.

EMS and the local fire department were on the scene.

The driver and three other passengers were transported to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries.

Maria Damata, 20, of Bethel, had life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

The case remains an active investigation.
