MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — If you ask West Virginia outside linebackers coach Victor Cabral what the best job is, his answer will undoubtedly be a coach.
Even while nearing 20 years in the coaching profession, Cabral wears his enthusiasm for the profession on his sleeve. That enthusiasm, along with a strong work ethic on the field and the recruiting trail has earned him a reputation.
“I’ve been known as a high-energy guy for a long time. I had to overcome talent, so I did that with excitement, even as a player,” Cabral said last week. “Everything that I have, I owe to this game.”
A first-generation college student, Cabral simultaneously became the first member of his family to be a collegiate athlete.
