Experts to talk about Grants Pass homelessness case later this month | The Housing Crisis [Video]

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Homeless policy experts will be preparing for the Grants Pass Supreme Court Case, according to a news release. 

On Wednesday, April 10, four experts will gather over Zoom to discuss the context and implications of the case ahead of the April 22 oral argument before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The case — Grants Pass vs. Johnson — will determine whether cities can make it illegal for homeless people to exist on public property. 

Below are the experts scheduled to speak at the Zoom event, along with the synopsis from the release. 

  • Ed Johnson: “the Director of Litigation at the Oregon Law Center and lead counsel for the respondents in the upcoming Grants Pass v. Johnson case.”
