Kansas City Chiefs Mecole Hardman appears in Nixa for Care to Learn event [Video]

NIXA, Mo. (KY3) – A Kansas City Chiefs star headlined a charity event this evening in Nixa.

Mecole Hardman shared how he succeeded in inspiring others and raising money for Care to Learn. The charity helps local kids in need with food, clothing, and hygiene products.

“If a kid needs a pair of shoes, we can call up the care to learn person, and we can go and grab a pair of shoes, and that kid gets the pair of shoes that day,” said Zac Rantz with the Atos Center. “Pair of pants, they send home a backpack of food every single weekend to make sure that while the kids get meals during the school week, on the weekends, they don’t have that security.”

The man who helped raise money also helped the Chiefs win a ring. Mecole Hardman caught the game-winning catch to clinch the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win.
