LEAP kicks off Solarize Virginia campaign – [Video]

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — On average, in Virginia, a homeowner saves $115 a month after going solar.

Local Energy Alliance Program, also known as LEAP, kicked off their 10th annual Solarize Virginia campaign.

“When folks sign up everybody gets a free satellite assessment of their roof to see if there’s good solar potential. There’s no commitment so once you sign up for that it’s really just for a homeowner’s benefit to see what the potential is for them to get solar,” said Katie VanLangen, the co-executive Director for LEAP.

Until June 30th LEAP will be partnering with solar installers to give a discount for homeowners to go solar.
