Proposals for 4 new Tremont townhomes going before Cleveland Planning Commission [Video]

CLEVELAND, Ohio — More new townhomes could be coming to Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.

Plans for Abbey Residences, which is set to include four townhomes, will go before the Cleveland Planning Commission on Friday.

The four-story townhomes are set to be located at 1913 Abbey Ave. on a 3,000-square-foot-lot where a 19th century home stands along with a detached garage that was built in the 1970s. The land, which is across the street from the Abbey Townhomes and Flats, was purchased for $200,000 in December by DI Development.

A presentation submitted to the commission showed that two townhomes would face Abbey while the other two are set to face West 19th Place, an adjacent alley, which may be expanded. All four would have attached garages, small balconies and rooftop decks.

The two biggest townhomes would have three bedrooms, one of which would be off of the attached garage, and a penthouse. The smaller two would be two bedrooms.
