REDDING, Calif. – The Redding Arts Council kicked off its annual Redding Cultural Cruise on Friday. The event features art and music from all around Northern California.
Event coordinator Racheal Newman, told Action News Now the event helps showcase art and culture and said, “Redding is touted for having the outdoor adventure, be we have a lot of arts and culture adventure around here too.”
People were encouraged to pick up a “passport” at the old Redding City Hall, that includes a map to all of the participating locations were art, history and cultural exhibits are on display.
At each location people could get a stamp on their passport. Once at least three stamps were acquired the person was entered into a drawing for raffle prizes that included paintings, gift certificates and gift baskets.
Other special exhibits and events take place inside some of the participating venues.
