CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Charleston Police say the work to repair a damaged gas line is complete and roads blocked by the response have reopened.
Chief Fire Marshal Mike Julazadeh said construction workers hit a 2-inch line near East Bay and Cumberland Streets.
Dominion Energy crews responded at around noon, spokesman Paul Fischer said.
Police said on X, formerly Twitter, that the scene had been cleared as of 2:15 p.m.
