Top 5 counties for impaired driving citations [Video]

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — El Paso County currently ranks number one for impaired driving arrests in the state, and Diversus Health in Colorado Springs is here to help.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) revealed where troopers gave the most citations for impaired driving last year. In 2023, CSP issued 4,120 citations for impaired driving, according to a press release. While every county had a share of those incidents, CSP said “certain areas of our state have increased amounts.”

These counties had the most impaired driving citations in 2023:

  1. El Paso County
  2. Adams County
  3. Jefferson County
  4. Weld County
  5. Larimer County

Earlier this year, CSP released similar data regarding which counties had the most speeding citations last year and which counties had the most speeding citations in school and construction zones. El Paso County topped each of those lists as well.
