Thursday’s powerful nor’easter brought a lot of snow and damage to Maine, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands of customers and leaving a lot of cleanup to do.Travel Thursday was treacherous in many areas. A police officer in Sanford had a very close call.Police shared dashcam video from the officer’s cruiser as he was out on patrol showing a tree covered in snow suddenly collapsing and falling onto the road in front of him.The video shows a huge amount of snow suddenly falling from the trees into the road, creating a whiteout. The officer was able to stop on the snow-covered road and when the snow cleared in front of the vehicle, and then you suddenly saw a large tree blocking the road.
