Family of Beaumont father killed remember him as anchor of family [Video]

BEAUMONT, Texas — A family is left heartbroken after a young Beaumont father was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Oran Trahan, 29, was gunned down in the old Fair Grounds parking lot with three of his children in the back seat of his car. 

Now Trahan’s family is asking for the community’s support as they seek justice. 

“It’s going to take a while but I’m asking right now for my family, his family, we don’t want revenge. We want justice,” said Paula Wheaton, his sister.

Trahan’s family members remember him as the anchor of their family.

“He was just the life of the party, the event, anywhere. He knew how to get people to interact, talk, have fun,” said Trahan’s cousin, Alexis Williams.

Trahan is a father of ten. His oldest daughter just turned 13 on April 4, only three days before her father was killed.
